Inception into Nuclear Energy

 

Sam Parikh joined the US Army as a Nuclear Specialist to learn and become a leader. The military training and expertise helped him to face tough challenges and turn them into opportunities.

2015

Pioneering Digital Transformation

 

Mr. Parikh got the opportunity to transition into the civilian world by joining the Nuclear industry as a Digital Engineer. This role helped him gain invaluable experience with boiling water reactors (BWR) in the midwest region. His design engineering projects were unique with superior quality products delivered to the nuclear power plants.

2021

Thrive to Nuclear Management

 

Mr. Parikh stepped up his engineering manager position to diversify his background in pressurized water reactor (PWR) stations. This opportunity has provided him with strategic planning, coaching, and driving team leadership to provide clean power to local communities.

Multi-Family Remodel (Frantz Bldg)– Aurora, IL

A three-story building with full basement designed for mixed-use.  The building is to consist of a basement for storage, a first floor restaurant, and floors 2 and 3 for apartments. The building has previously suffered significant fire damage and was not habitable; however, it maintained Historical Significance.  Special consideration had to be provided to keep the building’s previous design aesthetic, including detailed coffered ceilings and large, unique glazing on the front of the building.  Extensive MEP coordination was conducted to preserve the building’s character.

Multi-Family Remodel (Galena) – Aurora, IL

An eight-story building located in downtown Aurora with Historical Significance.  The main level and floors 1 and 2 were left in tact with current tenants, including a bank.  Floor 3 to be fully remodeled into an office space for the property owners.  Floors 4 through 8 to be remodeled from office use to residential apartments.  As a historic building, many items had to be unaltered, including intricate ceilings, paint and stonework.

Public Housing Remodels (Various) – Georgia

Existing apartment complexes were remodeled to create a comfortable space for residents. The apartments were governed by HUD requirements and were updated with all new MEP systems

Mount Prospect Village Hall – Mount Prospect, IL

Mechanical design and replacement for existing city hall building to modernize existing infrastructure, including control systems.

Stanley Public Works Building – Stanley, ND

New public works building used for maintenance and storage of city vehicles.  The building also included office space in addition to a maintenance garage.

New Fire Station – Lemont, IL

New ground up fire station complete with sleeping quarters, apparatus bay, maintenance bay, and office space.  The building utilized a specialized exhaust system for use with all of the apparatus and was integrated into the building.

Truck Repair Facility – St. Paul, MN

New ground-up truck maintenance facility.  The building consisted of training rooms, office space, restroom/locker room and a large truck repair garage with exhaust systems, compressed air systems, and infrared heating.
