Mr. Gross brings over 30 years of experience in a variety of industrial sectors including aviation, aerospace, defense products, consumer electronics and off-highway agricultural and construction equipment.  He has served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility throughout his career, initially as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer and project engineer in the defense industry, then as a quality assurance manager in the electronics industry, as the North American regional supplier quality/supplier development manager with global responsibility for training and most recently as a global project leader for value analysis and cost optimization in the off-highway heavy equipment industry.  Mr. Gross also served as a volunteer internal consultant and project manager for several capital equipment and construction projects for organizations he is affiliated with.

Gross earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, completed all coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and holds a Master of Business Administration with Honors, specializing in Project Management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago.  In his spare time, he enjoys reading, travel, photography, amateur radio and serves in a state leadership role with a national search and rescue organization.

Mike has 20 years of diverse experience in the area of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design. He has worked not only as a consulting professional engineer to design but also as a project engineer/manager in the field for contractors. His experience includes both new ground-up projects and renovations and remodels of existing buildings.   Mike’s project experience consists of restaurants, retail, municipal, multi-family, commercial, and industrial of varying size and complexity.

EXPERIENCE:

Multi-Family Remodel (Frantz Bldg)– Aurora, IL

A three-story building with full basement designed for mixed-use.  The building is to consist of a basement for storage, a first floor restaurant, and floors 2 and 3 for apartments. The building has previously suffered significant fire damage and was not habitable; however, it maintained Historical Significance.  Special consideration had to be provided to keep the building’s previous design aesthetic, including detailed coffered ceilings and large, unique glazing on the front of the building.  Extensive MEP coordination was conducted to preserve the building’s character.

Multi-Family Remodel (Galena) – Aurora, IL

An eight-story building located in downtown Aurora with Historical Significance.  The main level and floors 1 and 2 were left in tact with current tenants, including a bank.  Floor 3 to be fully remodeled into an office space for the property owners.  Floors 4 through 8 to be remodeled from office use to residential apartments.  As a historic building, many items had to be unaltered, including intricate ceilings, paint and stonework.

Public Housing Remodels (Various) – Georgia

Existing apartment complexes were remodeled to create a comfortable space for residents. The apartments were governed by HUD requirements and were updated with all new MEP systems

Mount Prospect Village Hall – Mount Prospect, IL

Mechanical design and replacement for existing city hall building to modernize existing infrastructure, including control systems.

Stanley Public Works Building – Stanley, ND

New public works building used for maintenance and storage of city vehicles.  The building also included office space in addition to a maintenance garage.

New Fire Station – Lemont, IL

New ground up fire station complete with sleeping quarters, apparatus bay, maintenance bay, and office space.  The building utilized a specialized exhaust system for use with all of the apparatus and was integrated into the building.

Truck Repair Facility – St. Paul, MN

New ground-up truck maintenance facility.  The building consisted of training rooms, office space, restroom/locker room and a large truck repair garage with exhaust systems, compressed air systems, and infrared heating.

THAD M. GLEASON, AIA, NCARB

Thad Gleason graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1981 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree with and emphasis on design. Upon graduation, he served as staff designer for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad where he prepared engineering calculations and drawings for railroad bridges and other structures. As Vice President of Architectural Operations for RR Browne & Associates, LTD, from 1994 until 2001 he was involved in the design and construction administration of a number of projects.

Thad Gleason has experience with independent living, memory care, skilled nursing and healthcare facilities. Mr. Gleason has also completed numerous office and retail projects including restaurants, daycare facilities and health clubs.

Thad Gleason is currently licensed in twenty-four states including Texas, Florida, Colorado and California. He maintains membership in numerous industry and trade associations including the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, International Code Council and others. Mr. Gleason has experience and knowledge of the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Illinois Housing Development Authority, EB5 program and New Market Tax Credits.

Manjit Saini has over 26 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure development, with expertise in buildings, land development, transportation, and water and wastewater systems. His experience includes preliminary and detailed design, basis of design reports, construction documents, project management, and regulatory coordination for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects. Manjit has led multidisciplinary teams and delivered engineering solutions for projects across the United States, Canada, India, and Africa.
